Top 10 tips to protect yourself from Hackers

If your Windows PC is not properly configured, everything on your computer can easily be stolen or destroyed by hackers.
So, I am giving away some cool tips that every computer user can follow.

1. Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com at least once a week and install all critical patches.
2. Run an antivirus program at least once a week. Update your virus signature files every time you use it.
3. Use a firewall such as Zone Alarm. (Zone alarm Outpost firewall and Mcafee Desktop firewall are some popular one) Mcafee Desktop firewall is my personal favorite i have also given a review in Download section.
4. Don't click on unknown email attachments.
5. Turn off sharing, especially on your C: and D: drive. This is very dangerous! If you must share a disk, make sure it requires a password.
6. Put a good password on your PC. Make password very hard to guess ,it should be the combination of all alphabets numbers symbols with upper and lower case of the words.
7. Report any network slowness or strange computer behavior so it can be checked by me.
8. Windows PCs with static IP numbers are especially easy targets.so try have a dynamic ip with your router.
9. Dont allow any stranger to know who you are
10. Always look out for the updates for security software in your PC.

Due to immense loss in revenue erupted with throat cut competition as newer entrants started the price war with luring tariffs so now Telecom operators are seeking for some alternate ways of revenue to overcome the loss. In this process Airtel, Aircel, Idea, Vodafone and some other operators start charging for calls made to customer call which was however free by now. In some countries its already been charged but in india its completely new. All private GSM operators( COAI & AUSPI ) got the consent from TRAI to charge such calling. Yet its not started uniformly. In M.P., Kerala, Kolkata, Karnataka and West Bengal has started this whereas Idea in Maharastra, Kerala and Mumbai. Though calling rates are mere 50 paisa per 3 minutes but considering the rate of calls made to customer care its posses a great revenue model for telecom operators. So if you are still enjoying the free calls to Customer Care or troubling to Customer Care guy is your favorite pastime then get ready to be charged and to feel boredom in coming days.
